As one of the nation's oldest African American male organizations, The Chessmen Club of the North Shore Inc. has empowered black youth to become leaders in their community for decades. Since 1958, The Chessmen of the North Shore Inc. has provided over $500,000 in scholarships, helped over 50,000 people by providing over 10,000 food baskets and has hosted many community health forums.
